This Suhr Classic J combines vintage and modern elements to create a great boutique bass that comes in at a lot less money than it’s competition from Brooklyn and Chigaco. Based on a classic 60’s era design, this one has the addition of a beautiful flame maple top and a Badass II Bridge along with Suhr’s new 3-band EQ.  The body is swamp ash with a 3/16” flame maple top finished in a cool looking trans black.  The neck is maple with a rosewood fingerboard. The pickups are Suhr’s Humphrey J pickups - these pickups are hum cancelling single coil J pickups. Instead of a traditional single coil design, they have two reverse wound side by side coils.  Classic J tones and if you solo the neck pickup, you’ll get a P bass tone as well.  It also features Suhr’s new 3 -band preamp featuring Treble/Middle/Bass boost and cut (and the push/pull volume control bypasses the preamp).  Includes a hard case.
